APRIL 03, 1896 - at the Toledo City Council Meeting a motion was moved and carried that the matter of Fire Protection be referred to the Ways and Meands Committee.

APRIL 12, 1987 - at theToledo City Council Meeting it was approved to take a special Bonding of the City for funding to improve streets, Fire Protection and waterworks.

JULY 11, 1900 - at the Toledo City Council Meeting the Ways and Means Committee was in progress of looking at reports in the efforts of creating a Fire Department. At this meeting a Fire and Police Committee was formed.

August 22, 1900 - A survey was taken of the citizens of Toledo on their approval of a Fire Department in Toledo. The survey was unanimous.

March 29, 1901 - A meeting was held of the citizens of Toledo for the purpose of taking steps to organize a Fire Department in Toledo. Temporary Chairman and Secretary wa nominated.

April 03 1901 - Another meeting of the proposed Toledo Fire Department was held to adopt a constitution and bylaws - adopted from the Corvallis Fire Department. Official election of Officers were held.

April 08, 1901 - Another meeting was held to look into engines, chemicals, fixtures, and windmill water tank to be built.

May 02, 1901 - A finalizing meeting was held before presenting to the City Council.

May 06, 1901 - The committee of the Toledo Fire Department presented to the City Council (to tender of Service) the Toledo Fire Department.

May 13, 1901 - At the City Council Meeting a resolution was introduced to accept the Organization of the Toledo Fire Department. Motion was carried!
